Fibreglass Rebar

Fibreglass rebar can meet the needs of any project coming in diameters between 10 and 25mm and lengths between 4 and 60 feet. We stock 10mm and 15mm x 20ft lengths at our location. Pre-bent bar also available.

Benefits of using fibreglass instead of steel

• At a quarter of the weight compared to steel rebar, more fibreglass rebar can be transported on a truck per delivery and it is easier to work with on site. It takes half the time to install with half the amount of work.

• It has a lifespan of 100+ years. Steel rebar will eventually corrode leading to concrete spalls. Fibregalss rebar will outlast the concrete it supports.

• Fibreglass rebar is 2.5-3 times stronger than steel.

• Fibreglass rebar is non-corrosive, non-conductive and suited to any environmental exposure that may occur.

• The manufacturing process of fibreglass rebar produces less carbon emissions than the steel industry.
